Kitty Powers' Matchmaker - Android (Google Play) FAQ
I'm having issues with Cloud Saving!
Your save file will be shared automatically with all devices using the same Google Play Games account. You can change which account you are using in the Play Games app on your device.
The game crashed/keeps crashing!
First, please try rebooting your device, as this can fix some simple issues. Do this by holding down the power button until the 'power off' message appears. Follow the instructions, and then use the power button to switch the device back on.
If you have a virus-checker installed (e.g. AVG or Avast), try disabling it. Virus checkers can use up a huge amount of your device's resources, and cause problems for the game. Please also ensure that your Android device has at least 512MB of system memory available.
The game doesn't load, it just stays on the title screen!
Ensure that you have Google Play Games installed on your device. It is a free download available on the Google Play Store.
Try turning off your device and restarting it. If that doesn't help, delete the game from your device and reinstall it from the store.
I only see a tiny screen/black screen when starting the game!
Apologies, we are aware that this issue can occur on some devices. Please contact us and include the manufacturer and model of you device and we will do our best to sort it out.
I'm getting an error downloading the game from Google Play!
We don't have any control over the download process, so there's only limited advice we can give. However, the following usually seems to work:
Open your Settings->Apps screen.
Find "Google Play" in the list, and select it.
Press the Clear Cache button.
Turn off your device and restart it, and make sure you're connected to WiFi.
Try the download again.
I was charged twice/three times when buying the game!
Unfortunately we do not have any control of the payment process, it is all handled by the Google Play store. To request a refund from Google directly, see here.
I can't enter my name when creating an avatar!
This can happen if you have a non-standard keyboard installed on your device (e.g. SwiftKey). We're looking for a fix, but in the meantime, go into Settings->Language & input, and set your keyboard to the Default option.
